Privacy Policy

TidyText runs entirely on your device. It does not make network requests, does not include analytics, and does not require an account. This policy spells out exactly what that means.

What we collect
Nothing. TidyText has no servers, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no account system. We literally cannot see your documents.

On-device storage
Your text content, recent files list, drafts, and editor preferences are stored in your device's sandboxed app container. Drafts are written periodically while you type so unsaved work can be recovered after a crash or relaunch.

Files and iCloud
When you open a file through the system picker, TidyText uses Apple's security-scoped bookmarks to remember it across launches. If the file lives in iCloud Drive or another provider, that provider's privacy policy applies — TidyText itself never uploads anything.

Diagnostics
TidyText does not bundle a crash reporter. iOS may collect anonymous crash logs if (and only if) you have opted in via Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements. Those reports go to Apple, not to us.

Children's privacy
TidyText does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
