Does Auren connect to my bank?

No, and it never will. Auren is intentionally manual-entry + import/export only. That's the trade-off we make so that no third party — including us — ever sees your transactions.

Is anything sent to the internet?

Only one thing, and only if you ask: an optional Frankfurter (ECB reference rates) refresh in Settings → Currency. It sends a currency code, no authentication, no account, no identifier. Everything else runs on-device.

What's free and what's Premium?

Adding and editing accounts, transactions, budgets, and categories is free, plus the dashboard, activity, basic KPIs, and per-transaction CSV / JSON export. Premium unlocks Tier 1–4 insight reports, live FX refresh with rate overrides, full-database .auren.json backup & restore, and the configurable Budget Progress widget.

Which currencies are supported?

About 130 ISO 4217 fiat currencies and 30 major crypto assets, each with proper symbols and decimal precision. Every Dashboard and Insights total is normalized to your chosen base currency.

Can I import data from another app?

Yes. CSV and JSON imports are free and tolerant — quoted fields, mixed line endings, missing optional columns, and duplicate detection by id or by merchant + amount + day all work out of the box. Premium adds a full-database .auren.json backup format.

Is there an Android, macOS, or web version?

Not at the moment. Auren is iPhone and iPad only, written natively in SwiftUI with deep ties to App Intents, WidgetKit, and SwiftData.
